Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said in an interview to Euronews TV channel that his son and his wife participated in the 44-day war.

Faktyoxla Lab. has tried to clarify this claim.

Pashinyan's confession that "my son and my wife were in the war" exposes the propaganda carried out by the Armenian leadership for years in this direction, in addition to refuting the claim that "only the self-defense forces of the illegal regime are fighting in Karabakh" in the last 30 years, especially during the 44-day war. It is the confirmation of the participation of the head of government responsible for the official policy of Armenia in war crimes against the neighboring independent state and its people.

On the other hand, Pashinyan doesn’t give correct information.

Thus, in September 2021, Armenian parliament member Hayk Sargsyan voiced the opinion that "Ashot Pashinyan, the son of the Prime Minister, took part in the fiercest battles of the 44-day war" and faced sharp criticism from the opposition. Opposition representatives say that Pashinyan's son did not participate in the war.

During the 44-day war, the Russian website lenta.ru published information on October 1 that Pashinyan's son went to Karabakh to participate in the war. It was reported that Anna Hakobyan herself informed "Sputnik Armenia" about this. The site wrote: Anna Hakobyan: "I told my son to put on his uniform and go. I love you very much, but there is nothing more honorable than dying for the country."

6 days after this statement, Anna Hakobyan shared a family photo on her Facebook page and noted that the photo was taken on October 5. Ashot Pashinyan is also seen in that photo.

Thus, this photo was met with serious dissatisfaction and protests in the Armenian media.

Conclusion:

- Pashinyan's statement that "my son and my wife took part in the war" is a confirmation of the participation of the Armenian leader's family members in war crimes against Azerbaijan.

- On the other hand, this is another lie told by Pashinyan. Another member of his family shared a photo of his son at home during the height of the war and confirmed that the allegations were false.

- Pashinyan's words are another lie that Pashinyan uttered during his interview with the Euronews TV channel, in addition to gaining points in front of the local public.
